Are you ready for your marketing copy to set you apart from others? That’s what we do and more!
Whether you believe it or not, your written word represents you, your brand, and your company. With over 25 years of experience writing content, comprehensively proofreading documents including, but not limited to patient records, books, memoirs, websites, newsletters, theses, dissertations, and other written materials, we work with clients helping them find the words, in their voice, and then make sure the copy is professional – free and clear of errors.
Many people think once the writing is complete, the document is too or only needs a once over and voila, it’s ready for print. Or, others believe you can write and publish a book in a weekend or seven days… This might be the case for a small tip book, but a novel or technical non-fiction book, in my opinion, no. I’ve tried the “quick and ready in a week” way and there were several issues with the quality from the publishing company – their editing of the cover information and graphics… Since I didn’t have the files in my possession I wasn’t able to change the information and it took four conversations with them to change the spelling of my name! Four, and there were other things they kept missing. Unacceptable. Harsh? Some may think so, but I firmly believe your written word represents you, your brand, and your company, and I wasn’t about to let “small” things go because it is more than just words.
Besides providing writing and editing services, as a Certified Author Assistant, we work behind the scenes to create, organize and manage all phases of publishing your book.
“Wow, how fortunate that I got connected to the services of Colleen Wietmarschen. When you require written materials she’s your “go-to” person. The press release she created for me was flawless and the first one ever written by a service that didn’t have to be rewritten! Thank you, Colleen, for the professional work and for being a joy with whom to work.”

Things we’ve paid attention to so we can help you!
Do you often think:
- How do I write a book? Where do I begin?
- I want to know how to write a book. What are the processes?
- I want to write a book. I have information to share and I am an expert in my field, or I have ideas for fiction books, but I don’t know what to do or where to start.
With our background in editing and copywriting and after speaking with several authors, we’ve discovered people who write a book and want to publish don’t understand everything needed to produce a professional book. It is “More than Just Words.” After writing, before the book can even reach publication, there are many steps to complete – ISBNs, Library of Congress Catalog information, fact checking, reviews, cover graphics, and many more.
